Green Balloons Caught My Attention!

I was on the way to a meeting near Lot 10 and a huge bunch of green balloons caught my attention at the traffic light junctions. I love the color green and I love balloons too! Don't ask me why :P. Anyways, when I got the balloon, I was given another stick of windmill flower...with a 20% discount petal cars stuck to the stick. Cool idea huh. I thought it was a very good advertising and brand awareness campaign since they are launching their new branding and outlet in Pavillion. And I managed to snap a photo with the flower guy. Just can't resist the cute-ness of his outfit! ^_^
When we wanna eat cheap food, mamak was the no. 1 choice, but not for now. Last night, we had supper in one of the normal mamak stalls. Ordered normal tosai, roti pisang, nescafe tarik and milo kosong ais...and total amount was RM7! Was so suprised...and we can actually eat proper chinese economy rice 'chap fan' within RM7....

Reached back home in Melaka about mid morning :). Agenda of the day was to make jelly mooncake. Tedious work but the outcome was a great feeling and I finally made it! Applause!....(dan, this is how the jelly mooncake looks like for your party next sat.)

Next, was the mooncake festival steamboat dinner :). Mushrooms and more mushrooms...yummy

A pot full of simmering soup filled with fishballs, white tofu, crabsticks, prawns, mushrooms, vegetables & 'fu chuk'...

Lighting up lanterns around the house is my favourite thing to do during this joyous festival :)

Must haves mooncakes - snowskin pandan mooncake (made by my mom), shanghai mooncake, pastry mooncake (both bought by my brother) and my jelly mooncake.

This is the only season when the pamelos are widely available.
My parents and my aunt & uncle from Muar are chit-chatting outside the garden under the 3/4 moon served with mooncakes, chinese tea, pamelos and with the litted up lanterns ambience. Although the actual mooncake festival falls on the 25th Sept, but my other 2 neighbours are having parties which added to the festive mood...:D

Let's have a mallow blast!...which in the end doesn't give me any blast :P. Bought this Hershey's Mallow Blast from a supermarket for RM1.50 (in a small pack of 5 inside). Thought of trying it since it attracted my attention on the display rack.
They have a choice of 3 fillings - (orange, strawberry and blueberry).
Am not going to buy another :P
Yogur Plus @ IKANO

Yoghurt ice-cream with your choice fresh fruits, nuts and chocolate toppings anyone? Head down to IKANO Power Centre and look for Yogur Plus (it's next to the Famous Amos counter, opposite Cold-Storage). Thanks to tantan for recommending this super-nice dessert in her blog. The one in Kota Kinabalu is called Yogur Berry. You can dine-in KK whereas the newly opened counter in IKANO is for take-away only.
We had a medium tub yoghurt ice-cream - (RM4.70) with a choice of 5 toppings (RM2). Had fresh mango, kiwi, orange, strawberries and dried apricot.
These are some of the choices of fresh fruit toppings:
watermelon,papaya,banana,orange,tangerine,cherry,kiwi,strawberry...(i think there's more, but I couldn't remember)
Other toppings...
chocolate rice, dried apricot and various nuts
Something different and it's refreshing and the best part is, yoghurt ice-cream is less fattening and it's a healthy dessert!
p/s: Didn't manage to snap photos of the ice-cream as I don't have any camera with me :(...Next wish list is to get a digital camera less than RM1k...

This morning, I got a pleasant suprise from my hubby dear (HL). The flower delivery boy pressed the bell of my office and called up my name. I thought one of my supplier was looking for me but it wasn't. It has been 2 months since we registered on 070707. Well, this was HL's first time buying such a big bouquet of flowers for me (white lilies are my favourite). Was so touched by his move :)...awwwww....
Thank you very much hubby, and I will remember that precious moment.

SKYY Vanilla + 7Up = A Perfect Match

Taste superbly haven. My first time drinking vodka in such a nice mixture minus the bitterness that all these while I don't drink alcoholic beverages. The first seep felt like enjoying a beautiful abstract painting...mmmm...
I only drank 1/4 of a small cup. Poured only a little bit of vodka with lots of 7-up. The 7-up taste was strong enough to cover the alcohol but the after taste of the vanilla was sweet and fragrant.
A must try! :)
A mother's love is our first love, and we carry it forever.

The long holiday weekend was a definite 'yay' and 'woohoo'. Watched Die Hard 4 on Thursday night at home with my hubby . I must say it was a good action pack movie that you 'die die' also must watch.
Then, on Friday morning, woke up at about 9am and had brunch - spaghetti bolognaise with bacon, ham, hotdog and egg (RM4.20 each set)and quench our thirst with a glass of cooling 'belimbing kam kat' juice (RM1.80) at one of the popular corner shop called Tanjung Dua in Bandar Menjalara.
Set off to our main destination, 1-Utama. Reached there about 11.50am and OMG, the basement parking was full and we had to make a big turn and park at the rooftop. Took us nearly 30mins to get a parking lot. Gosh...
Anyways, our main reason to 1-Utama was to have our dessert - New Zealand Natural Ice Cream. Mua-ha-ha. All their ice-cream was on 50% off. Yesterday was the last day. We had 2 rounds of ice-cream. First round was chocolate fudge brownie and had another mango sorbet before going back home. It was so yummy! Thanks Dan for introducing me the ice-cream! Still remembered you 'belanja' me and Rick the same stall in 1-U! I've been craving for their ice-cream since then.
This morning, we had the very very popular pork noodles near Taman Bahagia, PJ before HL goes to work. Waited for nearly 40mins before getting a bowl of hot pork noodles on our table. Is it worth waiting?...mmmm...I don't think so. Worst still, after ordering, the LCLY girl told me that I have to wait for at least 30mins in a rude manner. I thought...wat the..??? Anyways, the taste was slightly better than the normal ones. I won't recommend to those who is impatient waiting for their meals to be served. Hehehe...well, the balance of today will be house chores. Tomorrow will be another holiday...So much fun!...
