Fly Me to Kota Kinabalu!

A day after our wedding, HL and I flew to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for a short 4D/3N local honeymoon getaway. We took the honeymoon package in Shangri-la Tanjung Aru. Greeted with a 'gong' upon arrival at the lobby. Checked-in and we were happy with our room decorated with lots of red roses, a Moet&Chandron champagne, a tub of roses in the bathroom and many more little little gifts that makes the whole room ambience romantic.

After checking in, we waste no time and took a stroll by the hotels boardwalk. We were so mesmerized by the golden sunset!

Sunset and clouds in KK is really beautiful. Just can't stop snapping photos of it. HL is my main talent of the day.

We then had our first romantic dinner in their in-house italian restaurant - Peppino. Food was good and we enjoyed every single bite!

Did some island hopping and snorkelling the next day in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park - Sapi Island and Mamutik Island. Well, since the islands were so near to the mainland, we didn't expect the fishes to be abundant and pretty.

Took a photo of this jetty in Mamutik Island.

We then spent the following day touring KK town and did some local food tasting. We tried their Tom Yam and Laksa! Portion was big with lots of ingredients and pricy too! RM5 for a bowl of these.

We ended our honeymoon by pampering ourselves with a good massage at the hotel's spa! Love their secluded spa villas at one corner of the hotels facade by the sea.

Recommended to those who wants a couple getaway at Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa

Thank You!

To our beloved relatives and friends who came to our wedding,

Hsiang Lin and I were really glad to have you at the wedding reception. We would like to thank you for coming from such a long distance. Your presence and lovely gifts made our festivities even brighter.

Thank you once again!

8 days away and counting down...

I've been riding on a roller coaster lately with work + wedding preparations. This is clearly proven for not updating my blog for over 2 months in a row! Sorry for about that but, am too lazy to story tell what has been happening in my life.

Well of course, the biggest event in my life will be happening in another 8 more days. Nervous? Excited? Anxious?...I've no idea, probably because of the heavy duty work in the office and at the same time trying very hard to achieve what I wanted in this special occasion of a life time.

I will be hands off from work and heading back home this Saturday until 17th September. This Sunday will be the 'guo dai li' day where HL's parents, auntie and himself will come to my house and handover the 'big big angpow -$$$ kah ching kah ching $$$' and hamper....Feel abit sad not having to stay at home with my mom,dad and my little sister after next week. Well, I do hope I can spend a nite over my parents place whenever I come back to Melaka.

Back to work now! Still working in the office at this very hour 11.58pm. Hopefully I will look good when I am back home and replenish myself.

Till then, ciaos!
