Langkawi Re-visited

After months and months of preparations, we finally had our pre-wedding shoot at Langkawi. Having the beautiful island as our destination is the perfect backdrop as both of us love mother nature. The experience of flying for the very first time to Langkawi a couple of years back with HL and 2 other friends was so exciting that I couldn't sleep the night before.

Having a stunning backdrop is not enough without Robin as our official photographer. He has been so patient making sure that every shots that he took is good. Thank you Robin! It has been a joyful experience with him and his lovely wife. Awesome and phenomenal photos! To those who needs a wedding photographer, do consider Robin.

Enjoy viewing some of our happy moments. Till then, wait for our 'red bomb' soon. Mua-ha-ha-ha

Here's more photos to feast your eyes with:-

Flowers on-board

Rented a car upon arrival at the airport. Since it's low season, we have a good 50% off and we got a Nissan Sentra at RM150 for 3days

After all the hard work, we treat ourselves a good buffet dinner at Taste, Westin.

Although we burnt a big big hole in our pocket, we believe that we can earn back the money. Now wanna 'makan roti' also expensive! haha

Here's my first round food:- grilled calamari, deep fried prawns, grilled salmon with rosemary and chicken braised with tomato puree. Yummm

It's interesting how food are presented nowadays :).

After 2 rounds of main dishes, it's time for DESSERTS! Here we have lots of dried apricot mixed with apple bread pudding topped with blueberry and vanilla.

Next up, the mango pudding!

Apple pie with walnuts topped with vanilla.

Apple bread pudding with raspberry topping :)

Next, strawberry cake. Looks good isn't it.

Hehe, still can fill up my tummy with orange cheese cake. They even have a big chocolate fountain where u can pick your choice of fruits and cakes to be coated with their dark and sinful chocolate.

Before we left 'Taste', we took a photo of the outlet. HL loves the durian painting.

Some random shots I took in the room.

After 2 long days of shooting, I took a nice 'heavenly' shower and sit back relaxing at the 'heavenly' couch watching tv. We were then fast asleep in their 'heavenly' bed which is so cozy and comfortable! And you know what, their 'heavenly' beds can be purchased and it costs a bomb!

Woke up the next morning and enjoying some scenic view from the lanai.

Did some shopping before flying back to KUL. Found these cigar packaging rather interesting in one of the shopping malls.

...and this is our talented wedding photographer Robin and his wifey, Alice. Thank you for capturing our happy moments @ Langkawi.

Well people, that should summarize my overall pre-wedding trip...and I'm so tanned now!..Urgh, I need whitening lotion!!!

Thai Food @ Rak Thai

HL and I had always wanted to drop by 'Rak Thai' to savour their food and we did so last weekend for dinner. Located at the Lower Ground Floor in between the crossover from Midvalley to The Gardens, it is easily spotted with a small 'gerai' with baskets mangoes and sticky rice in front of the outlet. It is usually packed with people and we thought that maybe the food is good! And it is really that GOOD! at very reasonable prices.

Drinks again comes first. The set meal that we ordered comes together with the 'iced pandan lemongrass tea'. It's only RM2.50 for a glass of this unique and fragrant tea.

I had the seafood fried rice at the price of RM9.90. Food portion was moderate but the taste and ingredients used was fresh which makes this dish so tasty! Yummy...

HL ordered the ever popular 'tomyam kung prawn meehoon' @ RM12.90. Prawns were very fresh and the ingredients used were so generous which makes the soup wonderfully flavorful. Mmmmm..look at how HL enjoying his tomyam :P

Next, we had a small plate of 'mango sticky rice' @ RM5.90 for dessert. Topped with fresh cocunut milk, the dessert was a sweet ending of our dinner.

Rak Thai also sells home decorations and exotic items at reasonable prices.

.

If your taste buds is itchy for Thai food, go pay a visit to 'Rak Thai'.
