Finding Food Foundry

It was a wet and cold night...and the usual question from HL: 'what's for dinner' always pops up everytime I got into the car. Well, the LDP was rather jammed up and slow moving, thus we decided to take the back route heading towards SS17. HL then suggested to have either the famous Kanna Curry House or Food Foundry. Undecided, we toss a coin in the car and Food Foundry was the choice. It is located at one of the old flat shophouses in SS17/13. It was easy to find the cafe as we are quite familiar with this area.

We chose to sit at the white rattan chair with cushions at one of the cafe corner. It was nice and cozy...It's popular for its good food at an affordable price. After browsing thru their menu, HL decided to try their Ox Tail Soup -RM7.90 & Chicken Cordon Bleu - RM14.90 and I had Salad with Smoked Chicken - RM9.90. Food was served within 15mins which consider pretty quick.

Fresh salad with slices of smoked chicken and with a dash of cheese powder! Taste superbly fresh and crunchy.

Oxtail soup...warm and nice to drink on a rainy day...Tasted abit like tomyum as there's alot of spices.

Next up is HL's Chicken Cordon Bleu. Must try this dish whenever you dine in here. The chicken is so tender, the sauce is so creamy and the mashed potatoes are soft and everything just go so well together :)~~

Last but not least, it's dessert time! Another signature dessert that you must try is the multi-layered crepes! There are 4 different flavours to choose from; vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and orange. We had the vanilla and the overall taste, texture and cream of the crepe makes you feel in haven. It just melts inside your mouth. This one for sure must must must try or else you won't feel satisfying.

See how clean we finished up the crepe!

There's so much more dessert to choose from! You will be spoilt for choices as all of 'em looks tasty. Will need to try whenever I am dining here again!

So, if you have no idea where to eat for dinner, try dining in Food Foundry:

Christmas Party @ Daniel's

It was a great party nite hangout at Daniel's place for a small Christmas celebration last Wednesday. As usual, the host "dan" prepared so much good food. Danke schon and gracias! We did quite alot of chit-chatting, laughing, eating, drinking, watching tv, gift xchanging and playing TABOO!

That's me with my reindeer band :)

Loads of food.......

Spongebob with all the presents

It's all about friends, colleagues and ex-colleagues bonding together and exchanging gifts. I got myself a porcupine cd case! Yay...

Wishing all the greatest and the merriest Christmas and ushering the New Year 2008! Ho..ho..ho....YAM SENG!

A Princess Once In A Lifetime...

Last Tuesday was a holiday for Selangor. HL took me to the wedding gown specialist in Desa Sri Hartamas to try on the wedding gowns. I wanted it to be simple and yet elegant. We first went to That Special Occasion and then to Prettyinwhite.

I tried a total of 5 pieces of gowns and fell in love with 2 of it. The lady who attended me was shocked that I made a speedy decision...unlike other brides who find it so difficult of what they wanted. Made a booking for both the gowns this morning which cost quite a bomb >.<...HL has to work harder now...hehe. Would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for the lovely gowns...

Wedding gown from Prettyinwhite

Wedding gown from TSO

We are all now planning and check list whatever that needed to be done. Banquet dinner location, photographer and wedding gowns are done. Next is to buy my cinderella shoes and accessories...gah! Sales are on now and will be doing alot of shopping around. There goes my $$$$...and alot more to go....Wish us luck and if there's anybody who wants to sponsor anything for our wedding, we will be so grateful! Waha-ha-ha...

Ho...Ho...Ho...

It's end of the year and Christmas is one of the festive season that I look forward to. Although I don't celebrate Christmas, I just love the mood and romance of the decorations. Went to Midvalley the other night after work and manage to take some shots. Suria KLCC as usual has the gigantic christmas tree..(wondering why they always use that tree concept)...Heard that 1-Utama had the best christmas theme this year but I've yet to see. The Curve had lots of decorative christmas trees and last tuesday, they had LIVE band singing christmas carols and the mood was LIVE up with artificial snow...:)

That is why I love Christmas...nice decorations, nice christmas carols and presents too!mua-ha-ha.

Wantan Mee Frenzy

After reading food blog (Eating Asia) I was so tempted and eager to taste the food they recommended. HL and me are wantan mee lovers and decided to give a try at this restaurant. They have a variety of wantan mee noodles:

1) Charsiew wantan mee
2) Roast pork wantan mee
3) Chicken feet and mushroom wantan mee
4) 3 in 1 wantan mee (charsiew+roast pork+wantan)

We chose to try the 3 in 1 wantan mee. The texture of the noodles was superb and it goes very well with the sweet charsiew, crispy roast pork and the fragrant wantan. Here's some photos I took from my PDA. (sorry for the quality as it has a low-end camera)

Here's the address of the shop if you want to give a try!

Cari-Cari Makan Pan Mee

I've been so indulge in finding good food during the weekends...especially in Klang Valley. As promised, HL brought me to this place recommended by 'Ho Chiak' some time ago. It's in Taman Sri Sentosa in Jalan Klang Lama. Took us quite a while to find this secluded area. Food was good but rather expensive. The popular Kung Fu Pan Mee(dry/soup) was priced at RM4.00 for small. We also ordered 2 pcs of Pandan Chicken (original/bbq) at RM8.00 and a bowl of Fu Pei soup at RM4.00.

Snap shot of how the place looks like.

HL enjoying his dry version of the pan mee. Look how long the pan mee goes...:)..Yummy

And this is the soup version of pan mee and the fu pei soup.

If you are a pan mee lover, this is one of the place you should eat. The texture of the pan mee is smooth, qq and the soup base is sweet and fragrant...mmmmm....
