SWASANA SPA Retreat

Had my first SPA retreat this morning at my client's place - Swasana Spa@Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa. Delivered some collaterals for the trial run of the spa before the grand opening and was invited as a special guest to try out their massages. The ambient of the spa was awesome after seeing it before and after the renovations which took them about 8 months.

Most of the therapists were from Bali and for sure, they don't really speak English that well....and I've to request them to repeat :P. Was served warm ginger tea upon arrival and the therapist then explain what kind of treatment I'm about to do. I have to choose 1 from 5 different massage oils - balance, energize, spice, relax and calm. After all the smell testing, I've finally decided to go for 'balance' as I love the smell. Most of the oils are from spices and flower extracts.

Proceeded to a huge treatment room which was supposingly for couples :). Get myself changed and had 15mins steam bath with aromatherapy and then to floral bath in the bath tub. Lots of rose petals around me and I felt so relaxing soaking in the big tub....and the irony is, I didn't know that there's a button to turn on the bubbles of the jacuzzi! (Just found from my colleague after all the treatment - SHIT!). Thought a floral bath is juz soaking yourself in the tub in a calm water and clean yourself with a towel. Arghhh....how 'jakun' I am.

Well, I think that the therapist should tell what and how I should do throughout the treatment. Am sure that there's people like me who are first timers that don't really know how to operate a jacuzzi isn't it. Nevermind about that. Now I know :).

After the floral bath, get myself dried up with a huge towel and lie down on the massage bed. Hehe, there's actually a hole for me to fit my face in when I'm lying against the bed. Had balinese massage from toe to head. Everypart of my body was massage and I didn't felt any pain at all. I would say that my therapist was a good one in massaging. After 90mins, the whole treatment was completed. My whole body was oily and I couldn't have a shower as the therapist said that it's better to leave the oil on the body for at least 1 hr before showering. 'Good for the skin' - she said. Well, OK...as I don't really have much time to do that either. Need to rush back to office for some work. Got myself changed and was served another weird tea which tasted sour. It's called 'JAMU' ....yuckies...drank a sip and I couldn't finish it all.

Did the evaluation and most of the things on the list I ticked - Met Expectation - Yes - and - Good -. Well, it's worth trying out the Spa here. Massage was excellent and the price also very very 'nice'...The treatment I did for 90mins was actually RM270. Yikess~...$_$...

Hoping to get another treat and be able to press the button for a bubbling floral bath! Hahaha...

Thumbs up for E-Filing
It's my first time doing my job as a citizen of Malaysia to pay tax :) which is after 5 years of working. I'm indeed lucky as the total amount was still quite low. My dad thought me how to do the calculations on the hardcopy first before keying it online using the e-filing system in http://www.hasil.org.my. Doing it online was indeed a stress and hassle free experience. Even my dad was amazed! My dad was the typical uncle who prefers to do everything on paperwork. Slowly my dad will know how the world of internet will save alot of time and money. He even keeps track of his stock markets online now.

I definitely will need to teach him on more technology and internet savvy stuffs so he can move forward. Muahahaha...even my mom was asking me if there's recipes online which I showed her my favourite of all Allrecipes

Now with Streamyx at home, my dad will now need to learn and pay bills by using the internet banking rather than queing up!

Learn How To Cook Instant Noodle Correctly...
Got an email about these tips

Over dinner last nite, I found something new from our friends here on the
correct way to eat instant noodles without harming our bodies and health.

Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot
with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for 3 mins around and then
ready to eat. This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.

By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder,
normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG
causing it to be toxic. The other thing that you may or may not realized is
that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days
for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.

So the CORRECT method, which you may or may not know, is to cook the
noodles this way -

1. boil the noodles in a pot with water.

2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax.

3. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire.

4. only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup.

5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles n add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles.

Hmmmm....>_<

A Birthday Cake Cutting Affair (backdated photos on 14.03.07)

Happy Birthday to me and Ah Leng (my colleague). Both of us had our birthdays on the same month. I'm on the 11th whereas she's on 14th. Bought a cake from our client hotel - Impiana KLCC. Chocolate Fudge Cake was our choice. Well, Ah Leng loves chocolatesssssss....She gave me a 'froggy' soft toy and I gave her storybooks which she's now complaining to make her sleepppyyy........yawnss....I admit that I don't know what kind of books I should get her. Ended up buying love and romance storybook :P. The cake tasted ok but not as tasty as it looks. It's abit dry rather than moist. But I can recommend where to get the best birthday cake for a very affordable price. Drop by Cake Sense in Tmn Megah, Petaling Jaya. The cakes are superb yummy. ^_^

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something that will confine you. You are afraid of marriage.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

HAPPY EASTER DAY + F1 FEVER
Nearly forgotten that's it was Easter yesterday and at the same time, it was Guan Yin's birthday too! Hmm...although it was Easter, I still haven't got the chance to actually paint on eggs and giving it away to people. Will need to do that one day...probably next year :)

And YES! It's another grand event in the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia. The F1 fever is here again. Just watched the qualifying round on TV an hour ago and as usual, the Ferrari team got the 1st and 3rd place. Alonso manage to get the 2nd placing. I was wishing that I could be at the circuit to watch it to get the feel of the ever popular race although I'm not a fan of F1. But I was told by friends that there's lots of hot chicks there under the hot sun wearing skimpy clothes and bikinis! Hohoho....

Anyways, gonna just be another weekend in KL. Feel like going shopping..and I was thinking to pay a visit to the new Bangsar Shopping Village 1&2. Heard that the place was full with branded clothes and it's very pricy too! Got a TED BAKER bag for my birthday from my colleague last month which cost a bomb. Till then, have a great weekend to everyone.

Petrol Mileage Difference

I discovered that the petrol station that I always fill up my Kancil with a full tank of RM37 can give me a mileage of an average of 370km whereas if I pump the same petrol brand at other places, it only gives me an average of 320km or even less.

Hmm...wondering why....Has this happen to anyone before? :)
